Saturday night Padre Pio finally agrees to audition me for the band. I'm a little nervous before practice starts, so I do a little hang-gliding to burn off tension.

They're anxious to hear me on drums, so I start off with that first.

I'm not used to playing such dancey tracks, but after awhile I really get into it.

I can't tell what the band response is, but this groupie is definitely all into me.

Next I play a few chords on the piano.

A few shots of Wild Turkey later, I bust out with "Moon River."

At last the fatal moment--I step up the mike for my rendition of "Mother of Pearl."

When I finish, there's a moment of stunned silence. Then the applause starts, which is deafening as usual.

David Mosey's looking a little bit nervous, so I invite him to jam with me for a little while.

I don't mind doing duets.

Next practice is tonight. Love, Chewy.
